I sometimes think one of the few downsides to working for yourself is that I miss out on dressing for the office every day. I daydream about all the different outfits I'd put together if I was heading out that door every day, and not just for the school run. I like to imagine I'd have a wardrobe full of exciting outfit combinations and heels to match, adding a slick of lipstick to finish of my perfectly preened look.
Then reality sets in and I quickly come back to reality. I know I'd probably very quickly get bored of having to think of interesting looks each day. I'd tire, no in fact I'd probably resent having to make an effort very day and I'd settle for a quick fix work 'uniform' that was fairly uninspiring because, well, life gets in the way and there are a ton of other things that would be occupying my frazzled brain.
But hey, one can dream about the grass being greener when in fact it almost definitely isn't, we all do it. And anyway being a blogger ain't such a bad gig - at least I get to dress up occasionally, work with great brands I choose to work with and get paid to pose in front of a camera. Life could be worse.

What I've tried to do here is put together a few combinations that you wouldn't necessarily think about trying yourself, hopefully you like them and for those of you who do go out to work every day or maybe you're going to job interviews at the moment - this post can give you some food for thought if you're thinking about mixing up that stale workwear uniform currently inhabiting space in your wardrobe.
